From Sunday 10 October 2010 the Firenze com’era Museum will close to the public and will give over its premises to be used for the enlargement of the Oblate Library (Grandi Oblate Project). The archaeological collections of the Museum will be temporarily housed in the topographical wing; the next step will be the creation of the City Museum the original nucleus of which will have its premises in Palazzo Vecchio.
Access to the collections will continue to be permitted for exclusive and documented reasons of study and research, by booking made with appropriate advance notice by phone on 055 262 5961 or by e-mail forwarded to gestione.musei@comune.fi.it
